Originality

With the world of AI encroaching upon story development and story lines, I have to say its disappointing that so much current work is predictable and way too familiar.

I have recently been lucky enough to download a heap of Kindle books in a variety of genres. Surprisingly I have not finished many and after pondering the reason it seems because the plot lines are too familiar and therefore predictable in outcome. I have seen that story on TV or film and/or I have read it many times. In fact, I flicked through one well written ebook in the crime genre just to see if that was actually the case – a wealthy man killed his neighbour in an attempt to gain the property that bordered his. Yes, it was so. I have seen that plot line on TV many times, probably read it a few more and yet, this one seemed too familiar to continue with. Looking through it, there were some reveals about the neighbour that indicated his jealousy very early on which is what triggered my thoughts of predictability which was a shame as it was well written and the characters fairly interesting. Another ebook was in the romance genre which of course markets predictability as a necessity but in this case, it was all way too familiar too but with ordinary characters in a home environment which wasn’t interesting or unique. The sex was hot but the characters were flat.

Original work set in unusual landscapes with interesting characters in genuine conflict rocks! Don’t give up, go deeper, take a big breath and tell your truth no matter how difficult it is!

Imagination rocks!

As if you didn’t know, I’m old school 🤣 this is a 100% AI free zone! None, nil, nothing, Nada in planning, plotting or writing – just a crazy imagination!! Or as someone said recently, a colourful internal landscape 🤣 Anyway check out my books there’s something for everyone 🎉
